Recipe for Turkey Casserole
The following diet recipe of Turkey Casserole is based on servings for two. When following the Cretan Bowl Diet you can either share the meal with a spouse, partner or friend or eat one portion and freeze the other for yourself to eat at a later date. Or you can adjust the quantities for a family meal.

 EAT TURKEY CASSEROLE ON THIS WEIGHT LOSS DIET |
Ingredients
2 turkey thighs
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 small shredded cabbage
2 medium onions, peeled & cut in 8ths
2 parsnips, scraped & cut in 2 inch chunks
4 carrots, scraped & cut in 2 inch chunks
2 turnips, peeled & cut in 8ths
2 glasses dry white wine or half pint of chicken stock
2 teaspoons dried basil
Salt and pepper
Method
Preheat oven to 190°C. In a large oiled roasting pan layer the vegetables, pour on the olive oil. Place the turkey thighs on top. Season. Pour the wine or stock around the sides. Cover and bake for one to one and a half hours. Toward the end of cooking, baste thighs frequently. You may need to add more liquid if necessary.
